Sulkovec: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the center of Sulkovec, the Church of St. Havel stands on a slight elevation. Its longitudinal, single-nave hall ends in a three-sided chancel; a square sacristy is attached.

Culture and History

The parish church of St. Havel in Sulkovec is a Baroque building. Baron Jan Theodor von Imbsen had it built in 1735–1736 on the foundations of a chapel dating from 1645. The Sulkovec parish house was built in 1766 by Maria Antonia von Imbsen, the daughter of Jan Theodor von Imbsen.

Until 1900, Sulkovec had 42 house numbers, which formed the oldest part of the municipality. House No. 11 burned down in 1953, and Houses Nos. 32 and 38 were demolished; all the remaining houses continue to serve their purpose to this day. The estate in Sulkovec, House No. 34, is designated as an immovable cultural monument.

Nature and Trails

The green-marked Dalešín–Bystré hiking trail crosses the cadastral area of Sulkovec. Louka pod Sulkovcem is designated as a registered nature conservation site.

Cycling Route No. 104 runs through Sulkovec.

Landscape

The Kočíko and Librův Kopec mountains are located in the vicinity of Sulkovec. The Drašarov and Babylon mountains are also located around Sulkovec.
