Poděšín: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Poděšín reveals itself through its history and the landscape along the Poděšínský potok. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1233 and is closely linked to the beginnings of the monastery and church in Nížkov. At the same time, Poděšín extends along both sides of the Poděšínský potok.

History and Culture

The chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary was built in 1874 to replace a wooden bell tower erected in 1708. The bell cast in Poděšín in 1708 depicted the crucified Christ on one side and Saint John of Nepomuk on the other.

On 26 April, Michal Olšiak began building the Strom sculpture in Poděšín. A tourist information point with seating was completed on 18 June 2010 next to the restaurant and the Strom sculpture. The Nejedlův kříž stands on the Karbarova cesta, which formerly connected Polná, Hrbov and Nížkov.
