Petráveč: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The single-arch bridge “Petráveč, road bridge” was part of the old country road connecting Jihlava and Brno. At the same time, it is an architecturally elaborate technical monument. Today, the bridge is kept hidden on the grounds of a local waste disposal facility.

History and Culture

The chapel in Petráveč is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and was built in 1914 in place of a bell tower.

On 15 August 2026, a farmers’ market open to the general public was held at the Petráveč oil mill as part of the “Poznej svého farmáře” event series.

Routes and Educational Trails

The starting point of the Okruh Nesměřským údolím is at the turn-off from the road between Velké Meziříčí and Petráveč, by the bridge over the Oslava near the wastewater treatment plant; parking spaces for passenger cars are available there. The Okruh Nesměřským údolím runs mainly along paved paths. The exception is the section between Petráveč and Velké Meziříčí, which can be bypassed via an asphalt road.

The Nesměřským údolím children’s educational trail comprises seven playful stations. Most of the children’s educational trail runs along paved paths, so visitors can bring a pushchair. Its access point is at the turn-off from the road between Velké Meziříčí and Petráveč, behind the former distillery, now POEX.

Geographical Setting

Mount Ambrožný is located in the vicinity of Petráveč. The mountains Koní hora, Horka and Duforty are also located around Petráveč. In the wider regional area are the Rabštejn ruins, the Myslibořice château park and the Church of Svatý Marek.
