The bell tower of Křídla is a protected cultural monument dating from 1843.

Culture and history

On 26 September 2024, the bell tower in Křídla was moved approximately 18 metres away from the busy road. The façade of the cultural centre in Křídla was decorated with sgraffito by Jan Blažek.

Building Rychta No. 1 dates back to the 16th century; it formerly also included a brewery. The municipality of Křídla also includes the hamlet of Lamplotův mlýn, which was first mentioned as early as 1587.

Events

The Křídla Festival takes place every year at the cultural centre of the municipality of Křídla. It combines concerts, theatre, exhibitions, food and drinks, a church service, a clothes bazaar and film screenings. The first edition of the festival took place in 2000.

Geographical location

Křídla lies on the southern edge of the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. Road II/385 runs through the village towards Olešná and Brno.

Cycling

The „Mlynářská stezka“ cycle route runs along the section between Nové Město na Moravě, Křídla and Zvole. The marked, non-regional cycle route is designated for the Křídla area.
