Radňovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Radňovice lies on the edge of the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. Rising above the village is Harusův kopec, a 741 m-high hill that shapes the local landscape.

In winter, Harusův kopec is a popular location for cross-country skiing trails. The Radňovický okruh, a more challenging 9 km cross-country skiing circuit, also runs through Radňovice and Jiříkovice.

Trails and History

The Křížová cesta Stations of the Cross is accessible year-round and comprises fourteen stations. It follows the route along which local porters once carried tourists’ luggage to a mountain hut.

Culture and Remembrance

Lurdská jeskyně was created from local stone in 2014. In the centre of Radňovice, a memorial to the victims of the First World War commemorates local citizens who fell between 1914 and 1918.

Another memorial in Radňovice commemorates František Mikeš, a farmer and cooperative employee who was executed on 9 June 1942 because of his resistance activities. The village’s film history also goes back some way: several scenes from the 1961 film Malý Bobeš were filmed in Radňovice.
