Věstín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The municipality of Věstín lies on slopes that descend into the Svratka Valley. The landscape is characterised by a succession of meadows, fields and dense forests. The hill of Bukovce rises above the village and offers views of the neighbouring municipality of Chlum-Korouhvice and the Vír Reservoir.

Cycling and Hiking

In summer, Věstín offers good opportunities for cycling and hiking. The “Forgotten World of the Svratka Highlands” cycle route passes through Věstín at kilometre 25.9 and returns to Velké Tresné at kilometre 39.7. The cycle route uses Class III roads, paved local roads, and surfaced forest and field tracks with earth or gravel surfaces.

When there is sufficient snow, Věstín is also suitable for cross-country skiing.

Viewpoints

A recommended route to the Hraběcí stolek viewpoint begins on the road between Věstínek and Bolešín; from there, the viewpoint offers views of a meander of the Svratka and the Vír II Reservoir. The Horní les lookout tower is 59 metres high; its viewing platform is 38 metres above the ground.

Culture and History

The paired farmhouse No. 1 in Věstín is a protected cultural monument. The first written mention of Věstín’s three districts dates from around 1349.

Event

On 20 June 2026, Věstín will host the 19th edition of the Věstínský pohár, an entertaining firefighting competition.
