Dolní Heřmanice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dolní Heřmanice showcases its village history through many tangible details: the village was first mentioned in 1349; the village square features a rustic, brick-built village chapel with a square floor plan, dating from the early 19th century and featuring a bell tower from 1842. In front of its entrance, a cast-iron cross bears the engraved year 1814.

Culture

The settlement of Oslava, which is now part of the municipality of Dolní Heřmanice, has a chapel. The chapel in Oslava is one of four immovable cultural monuments listed in the municipality of Dolní Heřmanice. Outside Dolní Heřmanice, opposite house no. 14, there is a brick-built wayside shrine.

The ruins of Templštejn are situated on a rock above the Oslava valley. To this day, approximately two metres of the remains of a prismatic tower have survived at Templštejn. By arrangement, guided tours of Templštejn focusing on its history and architectural history can be offered.

The listed Řihákův mlýn is located on the Oslava in Dolní Heřmanice. The site includes a very old so-called single-blade saw dating from 1775, whose equipment has been preserved in fully functional condition. Řihákův mlýn retains technical equipment, including a water wheel, and is situated on the Mlynářská stezka.

Nature and Trails

Most of the Okruh Nesměřským Údolím circular route runs along paved paths. The Dolní Heřmanice bus stop is located near the Okruh Nesměřským Údolím circular route.

The “NS Balinského a Nesměřského údolí” educational trail runs through the municipality of Dolní Heřmanice. The educational trail through the Nesměř Valley offers a sensory journey of discovery through the world of invertebrates.
