Several centuries of history can be encountered in Rovečné through specific buildings and memorials. St Martin's Church in Rovečné is a single-nave Baroque building with a tower on the façade, erected in 1721. Its bell dates from 1547. The complex includes the cemetery, the cemetery wall and the surrounding lime trees; the entire ensemble is protected as a cultural monument.
Another historical trace is the Protestant church in Rovečné. After construction began in 1897, it was completed within 15 months. The organ, supplied by the Tuček company from Kutná Hora, is still in use today. The memorial to those who fell in the First World War was ceremonially unveiled on 28 October 1928.
Nature and Trails
The Horní les Lookout Tower is open to the public every year from 15 April to 15 October. The hiking route “From Rovečné to the Horní les Lookout Tower” begins in the square in Rovečné and follows a red-marked hiking trail along its entire length. Horní les is 774.3 metres high and the highest point of the Svratecká hornatina.
From the small car park opposite the health centre, the route to Horní les is accessible only to pedestrians and cyclists.
Water and Activities
The Rovečné swimming pool is located in the upper part of the village on its northern edge and is used as a natural swimming area in summer. It is 30 × 25 metres in size and up to 2 metres deep.
The multifunctional sports field at the school in Rovečné is currently used only for tennis and volleyball; available dates can be checked via the reservation function.
