Nová Ves U Nového Města Na Moravě: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nová Ves u Nového Města na Moravě was established as an old settlement as early as the 13th century. The first documented written mention of the village dates from 1397.

History and Villagescape

The original settlement was laid out as a village with concentrated development around a central green. A monument erected in 1929 based on a design by the Nové Město painter and graphic artist Karel Němec commemorates the more recent history and is dedicated to the victims of the First World War.

Living Traditions

A masked Masopust procession is maintained as a cherished tradition in Nová Ves u Nového Města na Moravě. In the week before Easter, children also walk through the village with rattles; this tradition is likewise still upheld.

Activities

The sports facilities in Nová Ves u Nového Města na Moravě include two grass football pitches and a multifunctional pitch with artificial turf. Fishing competitions are held at the pond below the chapel. Masses are regularly celebrated in the Chapel of Saint Anne.
