Unčín is located in the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park and in a recreational area on both banks of the upper Svratka River.

Nature and Landscape

The mountains of Kočíko and Librův Kopec are located in the immediate vicinity of Unčín. The mountains of Drašarov and Babylon are also nearby. The surrounding terrain is particularly suitable for cross-country skiing.

Getting Around and Supplies

The Jimramov–Vír II route follows a forest path along the Svratka through Unčín to Dalečín. Unčín can be reached by bus, and there are also places in the village where food supplies can be purchased.

On the “Peaceful Trip through the Svratka Valley,” visitors can replenish their supplies at the local bakery in Unčín.

History and Culture

The first written mention of Unčín dates back to 1379. The mill in Unčín dates from 1920. A memorial by the road to Ubušínek commemorates the deaths of Jan Dobiáš and František Kovář on 6 May 1945.
