Landscape and Trails

The “Přírodou Křižanovska” cycling tour follows cycle route CT 5243 through Pikárec. Southeast of Pikárec lies the Kuchyň pond, known for its interesting vegetation. The Pod skalou natural area in Pikárec has a stage and guaranteed catering facilities.

Culture and Local History

The Chapel of St. Prokop is considered a significant urban landmark in Pikárec and an architecturally important building. Pikárec is also regarded as the birthplace of the geologist Alois Myslivec (1898–1994). In 1946, Alois Myslivec completed his habilitation at the Czech Technical University in Prague in the fields of soil mechanics and foundation engineering and became the first professor of this new field in the country.

Family Events

The “Pohádkový les” is a traditional walking and family event in Pikárec. It comprises seven fairytale stations, where children receive a reward at each one. After the walk through the “Pohádkový les”, refreshments are available at the Pod Křibem excursion site.

Traditional Celebrations

The Ostatky in Pikárec are regarded as a traditional masked procession through Pikárec. They continue with an evening celebration for local residents, where traditional customs are maintained. During the Ostatky masked procession on 1 March 2025, drinks and small tastings were available at houses throughout the municipality.
