Černá: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

Černá Castle was built in the Renaissance style at the end of the 16th century. It is a two-storey building with a mansard roof; its defining feature is a three-storey rectangular tower. Following its reconstruction, Černá Castle is closed to the public, including the village residents.

The wooden Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua stands on the village green of Černá by the Křivý stream. Through its shape and construction, it symbolises a wooden ark. The chapel was completed and consecrated in 2006 and nominated as the Czech candidate for the Mies van der Rohe Award for Architecture. A visit can be arranged through the local municipal office.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands on the road to Arnolec, about 400 metres beyond Černá. A life-size stone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands beside the former forester's lodge, which once belonged to Černá Castle. The statue is generally dated to the 18th century and was renovated in 1994.

The bell tower in Milíkov is an immovable cultural monument. It is a polygonal central structure with a distinctive onion-shaped roof, an open lantern, a small upper roof and a cross.

Nature

Below the village green of Černá, the Křivý stream flows into Mlýnský Pond.

Enjoyment

Pivovar Černá is a small family brewery in Černá that has been operating since 2022. It produces unfiltered and unpasteurised craft beer, primarily from Czech floor malt and Czech hops. Pivo Pešek Brewery offers a visitor-oriented taproom with a covered outdoor terrace.
