Křoví combines protected landscapes, historical traces, and specific destinations in the surrounding area. The southern and southeastern parts of the municipality are particularly distinctive: they belong to the „Údolí Bílého potoka“ Nature Park and are subject to enhanced protection of the landscape character.
Nature and landscape
The natural character of Křoví includes the Křovský úval, a natural and semi-cultivated meadow community with thermophilous plants. At the same time, the locality is threatened by encroachment from shrubs. The „Studánka sv. Jána“ spring is located near the Křoví sawmill; a forest pond lies nearby.
Walking and cycling routes
The „Už ty mlýny doklapaly“ educational trail passes nine former mills in the area around Vlkov, Křoví, and Velká Bíteš. The shorter circular route is 12 km long, while the subsequent circular route around Křoví adds a further 7 km; together, this makes a 19 km route. Parts of the trail may be in poor condition due to bark beetle damage and logging. Some marked trees are damaged or completely missing.
On a hill southeast of Křoví are the wooden sculptures „Reklama na čučení do krajiny“ by Ing. arch. Župka. From there, there are views of the village and into the valley of the Bílý potok. The 45 km cycling tour „Do údolí Bílého potoka na kole“ passes through Křoví.
Culture and history
The Classicist Church of St Peter and Paul in Křoví is a cultural monument dating from 1808. In front of the church stands a cross from the same year, registered as an immovable cultural monument. In the northern part of Křoví there is also a wayside shrine that has been heritage-protected since 1958.
The written history of the village dates back to the Middle Ages: Křoví was first mentioned in connection with its sale in 1371. The surrounding area also preserves traces of raw-material extraction. In the 18th century, there were so-called kutiště mining sites for the extraction of iron ores. Graphite and limonite were mined in the quarry below Bítešská horka from 1870 to 1885.

Pekárkova mouka offers 11 types of flour directly from the Pekárkův mill; purchases can be made directly in Křoví.
