Kuklik: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kuklík is located in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. In the Chobotský dvůr area stands a protected large-leaved linden tree that is 25 metres tall and has a trunk circumference of 820 centimetres.

Nature and Location

There are two protected trees in Kuklík. The individual houses are spread along both banks of the Fryšávka stream.

Hiking Around Kuklík

The approximately 16-kilometre hike “Kolem Kuklíku od lípy k železárnám” begins in Kuklík, passes through the Chobot area and then continues to Chobotský dvůr. For this hike, parking is available in Kuklík at the municipal office.

History and Vernacular Architecture

Iron ore was mined at several sites in Kuklík from the second half of the 18th century. A former mine tunnel has been preserved to this day and is one of the most productive sources of spring water in the entire region.

A number of brick-built farmsteads have been preserved in Kuklík. In addition, numerous timber-framed houses with gabled façades have survived.
