Kundratice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Kundratice reveals its distinctive character in the landscape itself: the village houses are scattered along the Libochůvka stream. At the same time, Kundratice lies in the Křižanovská vrchovina, a region characterized by wooded ridges.
Landscape
The landscape around Kundratice includes several ponds. Nebohý Pond is one of them. The mountains Ambrožný, Víckov, Duforty and Koní hora are also located in the surrounding area.
Culture
The village itself also contains notable historic landmarks. The wooden cross in Kundratice was restored in 1998. The Kundratice atonement or reconciliation stone, Smírčí kámen u Kundratic, bears a carved Gothic cross; after originally breaking into two halves, it has now been restored. It dates from the 1770s. Its front features a flat, engraved cross relief whose vertical beam ends in an approximately round shape and is flanked by two smaller crosses.
In the eastern part of Kundratice’s village green stand the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk and a stone cross with a cast-iron corpus of Christ. A commemorative plaque in Kundratice honors ThDr. Josef Křenek, an important representative of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren.
