Meziříčko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The foundation stone of the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk was blessed on February 5, 1994, by Prague Bishop František Lobkowicz.

History

In the center of the village stands a statue of St. John of Nepomuk beside the bridge on the pond dam. The year 1562 is engraved on the statue. Also on the pond dam, near the statue of St. John of Nepomuk, stands a monument to those who fell in the First World War. It commemorates 17 soldiers of the Austrian army of that time.

Meziříčko is already mentioned as a settlement in the 15th century. In 1785, a new part of the village called Familianti was established from the former Jesuit estate. The local history also includes the bell dating from 1730.

Landscape

Meziříčko lies between two streams that merge below the settlement to form the Lysá stream. The nearby surroundings include the hills Kopeček, Řehořovský vrch, and Dědkovská hora. The Panský kopec hill is also located in the area.

Activities

RS Meziříčko can be reached from the Meziříčko – rozcestí bus stop via a footpath approximately 1.5 km long. Rafting is offered at RS Meziříčko as part of the outdoor programs.

The wider regional area includes Smetanovy sady Park and the Svatý Marek site, which is considered a church.
