Moravecké Pavlovice: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

On the village square of Moravecké Pavlovice, the Panna Maria Růžencová Chapel with its pointed bell tower is the landmark.

Culture and History

In Habří, the first surviving written mention of Svobodný statek No. 1 dates from 1555. Archaeological finds suggest that its origins may date back to the 13th century. The small private museum Svobodný statek No. 1 features a permanent exhibition about the history and life of the village. Concerts and lectures for the public are held at the Habří farmstead; a blacksmith's workshop was also established there to preserve and promote a traditional craft. The Habří farmstead includes a Baroque stone sheepfold with vaulted brick ceilings. Visits to the Svobodný statek No. 1 museum should be arranged in advance by email or telephone.

Landscape

The Pavlovický beech tree grows on a hill in stony soil at an altitude of 535 metres beside Veselec Forest. It is visible from Nové Město na Moravě, approximately 20 kilometres away. Between the trees on Kraví hora, favourable weather offers appealing views of the surrounding landscape.

Trails and Experiences

The Zubří stezky 5 – Za Uranem trail passes through Moravecké Pavlovice and reaches the village via a forest path from the former mines. A New Year's Eve trip to the 611-metre-high Kraví hora was held in Moravecké Pavlovice for the ninth time; this was followed by a descent using any vehicles or equipment.
