Hostětice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hostětice lies in the transition zone between the agriculturally shaped cultural landscape of the Telč Basin and the compact, wooded ridge of the Javořická vrchovina. Woodland groves, meadows and a gently rising, undulating relief shape the character of this landscape.

Landscape

One of the distinctive natural features is the Částkovická Pasture. It is registered as a significant landscape element and consists of short-stemmed grassland in which endangered plant species occur.

Routes

A marked hiking trail runs through Hostětice from Telč via Lhotka to Štamberk and the kamenné moře. The village is also connected to several cycling routes: marked cycle route 1113 leads from Telč through Hostětice towards Mrákotín and Světlá. On the return journey to Telč, cycle route 5124 runs through Lhotka, Částkovice and Hostětice; the route then continues to Telč on cycle route 1113.

A new cycle path is also now in operation in Hostětice. The Telč–Lipky cycle path joins existing transport routes at Lipky that connect Hostětice and Vanov.

History and Local Character

Hostětice has been mentioned in written sources since 1366 as part of the Telč estate. The village remained part of the Telč dominion until 1849.

The chapel in Hostětice dates from the 1950s and was consecrated at that time. It was renovated into its current form in the summer and autumn of 2019.

Pohl's Villa includes a driveway avenue that has been preserved to this day and an extensive garden. The so-called Hostětice cherries are also known from the period when the historic orchard at Pohl's Villa existed.
