Nature and Water

The U Potoků Nature Reserve is located in the cadastral area of Švábov. The valley of the Švábovský potok is considered a biologically valuable landscape feature. The 7-hectare Velký Švábovský rybník, which is also located in the cadastral area of Švábov, belongs to the Švábovský potok 1 fishing district.

The mountains Bražský kopec, Strahovice, Havlův kopec and Rácovský lísek are located in the vicinity of Švábov.

Roads and Railway

Class III road No. 13424 runs through Švábov and leads from Batelov to Horní Cerekev. Railway line No. 225 from Havlíčkův Brod to Veselí nad Lužnicí also runs through the cadastral area of Švábov. There are no cycle paths or hiking trails through Švábov.

History and Culture

The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius was consecrated in 1998 by Bishop Cikrle of Brno. The first written mention of Švábov dates from the mid-16th century.

The Janštejn ruins are located in the vicinity of Švábov. The Orlík ruins and the Svatá Anna Church are located in the wider surrounding region. Roštejn Castle (Doupě) is located near Švábov.
