Řásná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Velký Pařezitý rybník pond in Řásná was designated a 26-hectare nature reserve in 1984. The pond, the surrounding wetlands and the peat bogs are protected. It was created in 1565 by Zachariáš von Hradec and originally served primarily to supply Telč with water.

Nature

The Velký Pařezitý rybník educational trail runs around the Velký Pařezitý rybník pond near Řásná in the Telčsko region. It forms an educational and informative circular route that is intended for observation and recreation. The trail is 3 km long, and the stated walking time is 1.5 hours. The educational trail is suitable for pedestrians, cyclists and pushchairs.

The mountains in the immediate vicinity of Řásná include “Řásenský vrch”, “Štamberk”, “Mrhatina” and “Vondrova skalka”. The Štamberk ruin stands near Řásná above the largest stone sea in the geopark.

Culture

In Řásná stands the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius, which has been adorned with a metal cross by Alfréd Habermann since 1985. In the park next to the chapel, the metal sculpture “Naslouchající” by blacksmith artist David Habermann was installed in 2013.

The medieval Štamberk Castle was built and fortified using granite rock outcrops and the varied natural terrain. The “Roštejn [Doupě]” castle is also located in the immediate vicinity of Řásná.
