Cerekvička: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Jihlávka runs along the western boundary of the Cerekvička cadastral area. In the northern part of the cadastral area lies the Jihlávka Valley at an elevation of 532 m above sea level; there, the Rosický stream flows into the Jihlávka from the right. The Rosický stream also flows through Cerekvička. Podvesní Pond lies near Cerekvička.

Culture and Village Character

The Chapel of Our Lady in Cerekvička-Rosice is a small masonry chapel with vernacular-classical forms dating from 1840 and is a distinctive focal point of the village square. In Rosice, the Chapel of Our Lady dates from the 19th century; its door lintel bears the year 1840.

About 200 metres northwest of the village, on the road to Čížov, stands the wayside shrine in Rosice. It dates from the 18th century. On the road from Cerekvička to Vílanec, a fragment of a wayside shrine bears the engraved year 1789. A former mill on the Jihlávka in Cerekvička is now known as Motorest Mlýn.

Routes and Information

Cerekvička-Rosice participated in the “Stříbrné pomezí” project, a tourist information system aimed at promoting tourism and improving tourist information services. Along the project routes, the participating municipalities installed information boards with overview maps, local information, and details of local attractions. As part of the project, 270 km of hiking and cycling routes were marked; around 12 km of them ran in the vicinity of Jihlava.
