Wilsonova skála is located in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Hartvíkovice, in the immediate vicinity of Wilsonka Auto Camp. From here, the view extends across the surface of the Dalešická Reservoir and the wooded slopes of the surrounding area.

Landscape and Water

The Dalešická Reservoir is considered the deepest reservoir in the Czech Republic. Swimming, fishing, surfing and boating are possible on the water; there are also numerous hiking and cycling routes. Boat traffic allows visitors to view the surrounding landscape from the water.

From Hartvíkovice, Wilsonova skála can be reached via a yellow-marked hiking trail. The rock is a popular destination for climbers and hitchhikers. The wooden heart near Wilsonova skála is another place to visit, offering views of the Dalešická Reservoir and the surrounding landscape.

Culture and History

The ruins of Kokštejn Castle are located on a rock formation known as Wilsonova skála. A newer road from Hartvíkovice leads to the ruins of Kokštejn Castle. The village is home to the Church of St. Giles, with a rectangular floor plan, a semicircular presbytery, a west tower and two sacristies.

The memorial pine tree known as Památná borovice grows on Třesovský kopec.
