Culture and History

The history of Račice is brought to life at the Church of Saint Wenceslas: it is an Early Gothic church from the second half of the 13th century and has a ribbed vault in the presbytery. The Václav Bell in the church in Račice was cast in 1491, is probably the oldest bell in the Třebíč region, and could not be removed from the tower because of its size. The sculptural group of the Holy Cross in Račice dates from 1727.

Tradition

The traditional St. Wenceslas pilgrimage takes place in Račice each year on the date closest to September 28.

The surroundings of Račice include Stříbrná hora, the Rabštejn ruins, Klučovská hora, Záhoří, Babí hora, and the Church of Svatý Marek. The Myslibořice chateau park is located in the immediate vicinity of Račice; the Tempelštejn ruins are situated farther away in the surrounding region.
