Lomy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Lomy, you can find the Chapel of St. John and St. Paul, built in 1806, and the Lomský mlýn, which is part of Lomy and lies on the Želetavka River. Lomy also has a natural swimming pool.

History and Local Culture

Lomy’s more recent history is commemorated by a monument to those who fell in the First World War, dating from 1920, and a monument to fallen resistance fighters from 1946. The Lomský, Podcestný mlýn was first mentioned in historical sources in 1511.

The church sites U Svaté Magdalena, U Svatého Křiže and Svatá Markéta are located in the vicinity of Lomy. The Schloßberg ruins are located in the wider region around Lomy.

Landscape

The Špičák and Modrácký kopec hills are located in the immediate vicinity of Lomy. The Kleniční and Rudný hills are also located around Lomy.

Horka Hill in Lomy offers views of the surrounding area; in favourable conditions, the snow-covered peaks of the Alps can also be seen. A small-leaved lime tree grows at Lomy’s children’s playground and has been protected since 2015.

Trails and Leisure

A green-marked hiking trail runs through Lomy to Radkovice u Budče. A circular route leads from Jemnice via Lomy, Budkov, Kosová and Moravské Budějovice back to Jemnice.
