Lipník: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of St. John the Baptist is the defining landmark on the village green in Lipník. It includes an enclosing wall. The church was originally built in the Romanesque style and was later extended with a Gothic section.

Culture

The Masopust procession is a Lipník tradition that has continued without any known interruption and today takes place predominantly on Saturdays during the carnival season. At the Lipka Linden Festival, the competitions for children begin and are subsequently followed by a programme for adults. The pilgrimage festival in Lipník usually begins on the Saturday before Pilgrimage Sunday with the erection of a maypole.

Landscape

The agriculturally shaped landscape of Lipník includes numerous ponds, which are considered important landscape features. At the southern, southeastern and southwestern edges of the cadastral area, wooded areas adjoin extensive forest complexes.

About 1 km beyond Lipník, below Kopyto Pond, the ruins of the former Kopyto Mill are visible. The mill had already been abandoned in the 19th century.

Cycling

Cycle route No. 3, “Into the Forests Behind Lipník”, passes through Lipník. It is 35 to 40 km long and in Lipník turns onto a long forest road.

The forest pond Kapalice has a tourist rest area and lies approximately in the middle of the forested area covered by this cycle route. On the main road, Route No. 3 leads back to Lipník via Odunec and Zárubice.
