Horní Heřmanice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Horní Heřmanice combines a clearly defined landscape area with small, distinctive traces of local history. The area belongs to the Třebíčsko-Velkomeziříčsko landscape character area; within the municipality, the Třebíčsko landscape character area has been designated, featuring a diverse landscape mosaic, syenite rocks and block-like islands.

Landscape

A viewpoint overlooking Horní Heřmanice is designated as a “viewpoint over the municipality.” The southern part of the administrative area of Horní Heřmanice belongs to Třebíčsko Nature Park. The mountains of Hradiště, Panský kopec, Čechtínský kopec and Kopaniny are located in the vicinity of Horní Heřmanice.

History and Town Centre

Horní Heřmanice was first mentioned in 1447 under the historical name Superius Herzmanicze. From 1563, Heřmanice and Velké Meziříčí were under the same lordship.

In the centre of Horní Heřmanice, a small chapel with a cross stands between two linden trees. There is also a memorial stone with a relief of a Greek cross; its ground plan is irregularly triangular. Horní Heřmanice is also home to a listed cultural monument in the form of a crucifix.

Cycling Routes

Beyond Horní Heřmanice, the cycling excursion joins a blue-marked hiking trail that leads into the Balínské údolí valley. On the cycling excursion to Velké Meziříčí, after the turn-off from cycle route 5112, the route continues straight through an intersection towards Bochovice and Horní Heřmanice. The cycling excursion to Velké Meziříčí, which leads towards Horní Heřmanice, is 54.6 km long.

Regional Surroundings

The wider regional surroundings of Horní Heřmanice include the Church of Svatý Marek and the Church of Svatá Markéta. The Smetanovy sady park and the Myslibořice Castle Park are also located there.
