History

The settlement was first mentioned in writing in 1125 under the historical name Strupišin. Neolithic settlement in Stropešín is evidenced by finds of polished stone tools.

Villagescape and Buildings

A local chapel probably dates from the second half of the 19th century and is a distinctive landmark of the municipality of Stropešín. The Stropešínský most is 260 metres long. Its reinforced-concrete structure comprises three bridge spans and is supported by two piers; it was built in 1979.

The municipality also included the isolated settlement of Stropešínský mlýn, with a sawmill on the Jihlávka River.

Nature and Water

The Třesov landing stage serves as a place for boarding and disembarking. Here, boat trips can be combined with hiking or cycling tours on both sides of the Dalešice Reservoir. The landing stage is located near the Stropešínský most between Třesov and Stropešín.
