Slavětice is situated in a gently hilly landscape. In the village square, tourists can visit a chapel built towards the end of the 19th century.
Culture and History
Archaeological finds in the vicinity of Slavětice date from the Early Stone Age, the Bell Beaker period and the La Tène period. A cross on the road to Dalešice served as a place of farewell to the deceased during funerals. The Slavětická pouť is a traditional local pilgrimage; during a Slavětická pouť, a mass was scheduled to take place at the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. The monument in Slavětice was unveiled on 31 August 1924.
Landscape and Water
Slavětice is located approximately 3 km south of the Dalešice pumped-storage hydroelectric power station. The “Před školou” pond in Slavětice is used for fishing and offers a place for relaxation and leisure activities. A mill on the Jihlava has been documented in writing since 1392; the historic mill was flooded by the waters of the reservoir.
