Culture and History

The dedication of the church to Saint Peter and Saint Paul is considered one of the oldest church dedications of its kind and may date back to the 11th or 12th century. From around 1801, the church was expanded and acquired its present-day Neoclassical appearance.

The local architectural history also includes the Boží muka Chapel. It is a state-protected monument and was built in the French style after 1803.

Nature

Rudíkov is surrounded by hilly terrain and coniferous forests where mushrooms and raspberries grow. The landscape of Třebíčsko Nature Park around Rudíkov is home to the large-flowered pasqueflower, two-homed valerian and common spotted orchid. Rare animals live in the same landscape, including black storks, smooth snakes and grey partridges.

Getting Around

Rudíkov is connected to the surrounding villages by cycling and hiking trails. The viewing platform of the Rudíkov observation tower can be reached via 45 steps. From the Rudíkov observation tower, visitors can enjoy views of the Vysočina countryside to the southeast.

A 16 km route from Třebíč to the Rudíkov observation tower runs via Ptáčov (4.5 km), Kobylinec (7.5 km) and Nárameč (11.3 km). Cycle Route No. 7, “Podhoráckem and Třebíčsko Nature Park”, passes through Rudíkov.

Rudíkov is connected to the surrounding villages by train and bus.

Activities

The terrain around Rudíkov is suitable for cross-country skiing in winter. The FK Rudíkov sports complex has a publicly accessible gym.
