Culture and History
Čechtín preserves several testimonies to its local history. The former manor brewery complex with malt house and Baroque residential building No. 2 has been declared a cultural monument. The brewery was probably founded around 1560 and was first mentioned in writing in 1591. Most of the original historic structural elements have survived at the former brewery complex to this day, including vaults, roof structures and masonry elements.
A brickworks is also part of the village’s history: it operated from 1932 until approximately the 1950s, and its building is still standing. A noble stronghold belonging to Šemík of Čechtín is documented in the area of the municipality of Čechtín for the year 1406.

The landscape around Čechtín is hilly and was densely forested in earlier times. From a tourist and geographical perspective, Čechtín belongs to the wider area of the Českomoravská Vysočina. Čechtínský kopec hill is located in the vicinity of Čechtín.
