Biskupice-Pulkov lies in the valley of the Rokytná River and in the Rokytná Nature Park.

Landscape and Trails

A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Rokytná Nature Park and can also be used by mountain bike. The European protected area Biskupice - škola covers an area of 0.0366 hectares.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Martin has been protected as a historic monument since 1958. Its central altarpiece was created by J. Winterhaltr in the second half of the 18th century.

The archaeological site “hrádek a středověké jádro obce Biskupice” comprises the remains of a ditch and rampart from a former fortification. Paleolithic finds from Biskupice include flakes from several tools. The vanished Pulkov Castle lies approximately 1 km northwest of Pulkov and survives as freely accessible terrain traces.

Art and Local Character

The Biskupické safari comprises around 80 brightly painted concrete figures of animals and other creatures. The main group of 80 sculptures is currently being restored and is clearly visible from the road. The sculptures of the Biskupické safari, created by Františka Blechová, are classified by art historians as naive art, the so-called Art Brut.
