Lesonice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lesonice Castle houses the Museum of Folk Bands in the former fire station. The musical history of the town includes the band of Leopold Kosmák: it initially had eight members and was called “Kosmáci”.

History

A commemorative plaque at Lesonice Castle commemorates the serf uprising of 1775 on the Lesonice estate. A one-class school was established at Lesonice Castle in 1890. The peasant uprising on the Lesonice estate reached its peak on 25 and 26 July 1775.

Nature

Obora was a recreational destination behind Lesonice. The 80-hectare forest in the former game park northwest of Lesonice is marked by 44 memorial trees designated there.

The “Lesonická čtyřicítka” cycling race takes place annually in Lesonice. The “Lesonický duatlon” duathlon is an event in Lesonice. Events in Lesonice also include various walking tours.
