Lesonice Castle houses the Museum of Folk Bands in the former fire station. The musical history of the town includes the band of Leopold Kosmák: it initially had eight members and was called “Kosmáci”.
History
A commemorative plaque at Lesonice Castle commemorates the serf uprising of 1775 on the Lesonice estate. A one-class school was established at Lesonice Castle in 1890. The peasant uprising on the Lesonice estate reached its peak on 25 and 26 July 1775.
Nature
Obora was a recreational destination behind Lesonice. The 80-hectare forest in the former game park northwest of Lesonice is marked by 44 memorial trees designated there.
