The first written mention of Pálovice dates back to 1349. From 1606, the village of Pálovice belonged to Jemnice.
Culture and History
The monuments in Pálovice include the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. The free-standing, single-nave Neo-Gothic chapel was built in the 19th century and is a distinctive landmark on the village square of Pálovice. Pálovice is also home to an architecturally valuable rural house bearing the year 1877.

Bažantnice in Pálovice is documented as a botanical site where the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum) grows.

An excursion from Jemnice reaches Pálovice via cycle route 5220. The 18 km excursion route “Výlet do pohádky” runs through Jemnice, Pálovice, Panenská and Bělčovice, then returns to Jemnice via Pálovice. This route is suitable for hiking and cycling.
The 37 km route “Údolím Dyje” runs through Louka, Třebětice, Chlumec, Janov and Panenská to Pálovice and then back to Jemnice. The 47 km route “Lehké opevnění v údolí Dyje” leads from Jemnice via Pálovice, Panenská and Janov, continuing through Písečné nad Dyjí, Vratěnín, Uherčice, Lubnice, Bačkovice and Radotice, and back to Jemnice. This route is also suitable for hiking and cycling.
