Lhotice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

East of the village, the Lípa u Lhotic stands by a wayside cross. The small-leaved lime reaches a height of 20 metres and has a trunk circumference of 385 centimetres; the first declaration of protection for the Lípa u Lhotic dates from 12 February 1976.

History and Villagescape

Lhotice was first mentioned in writing in 1361; at that time, the municipality belonged to Otík ze Lhotic. The architectural monuments in Lhotice include the chapel on the village square. The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Lhotice is a Neo-Gothic building dating from 1925. There is another chapel and seven crosses in the surroundings of Lhotice.

Railway and Trails

The local Jemnice–Moravské Budějovice railway line was put into operation in 1896 in a picturesque landscape. An excursion train route runs from Jemnice via Lhotice to Moravské Budějovice; along the excursion train route passing through Lhotice, there are signposted paths for pedestrians and tourists.

The “Památné stromy” route runs from Jemnice via Lhotice to Slavíkovice. The “Výlet k ‚Hlubočáku‘” excursion runs from Jemnice via Lhotice and the Tři Koroptve settlement back to Jemnice. The “Po hradech, zámcích a zříceninách” route continues as far as Jemnice.
