Nové Syrovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The castle and park complex is located in the centre of Nové Syrovice and is among the protected cultural monuments. Nové Syrovice Castle originated from an originally Renaissance fortress and was later remodelled in the Baroque and Neoclassical styles.

Culture and history

The Church of St Cyril and Methodius was built in 1906–1908 in the Neo-Romanesque style, with a prismatic tower. Lusthaus is one of three independent parts of the divided forest church. In the three-part forest church ensemble, Sibyla represents the sacristy and Špice the church tower.

Trails and water

A marked cycling route runs through the built-up area of Nové Syrovice. The Graselova stezka Nové Syrovice trail starts at Novosyrovický rybník pond and is suitable for pedestrians, cyclists and pram users. It is marked with a yellow disc bordered by a white letter “G” and leads to the Habrová seč protected area.

South of Nové Syrovice lies Koupaliště u Boroví, a body of water used for swimming.

Nature

Habrová seč has a species-rich herb layer, including the spring snowflake and the Turk’s cap lily. Habrová seč comprises beech forests of the Asperulo-Fagetum association and oak-hornbeam forests of the Galio-Carpinetum association.

U Lusthausu is a fragment of mixed ash-alder alluvial forests with a population of the endangered spring snowflake.
