Jaroměřice Nad Rokytnou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The basic sightseeing route “Count’s Apartment” at the state chateau includes the Ancestral Hall, two music salons, the bedrooms, the ballroom, the Chinese Cabinet and the adjacent Roman baths.

Culture

The Church of St Margaret is designated as a national cultural monument. It can be visited via two sightseeing routes; one of them includes upper galleries, an oratory, a model of the roof structure and the organ gallery. After climbing 82 steps, the church tower offers a bird’s-eye view of Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou and the chateau park.

The Otokar Březina Museum is located on the first floor of baker Vlček’s house, where the poet lived from 1913 until his death. The Symbolic Garden at the museum is open to visitors every day except Mondays, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Petra Dvorský International Music Festival holds events in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou in the Church of St Margaret and in the Ancestral Hall of the chateau.

Nature

The chateau grounds combine a French garden with an English park, the extensive part of which lies on the opposite side of the Rokytná River.

Rokytná Nature Park was established in 1978 to preserve a landscape with rock outcrops, steep slopes and endangered plant and animal species. A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through the nature park and can also be used by mountain bikes.

The Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou Tourist Information Centre provides brochures about the town’s educational trails. The “Educational Trail through Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou” covers important places in the town, including frequently visited monuments, places not open to the public and sites that have already disappeared.
