Svatoslav: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Svatoslav, there is a chapel built in 2005–2006, several memorial sites, and a landscape in which forests cover nearly 66% of the municipality’s area. As a result, cultural heritage and specific landscape areas come together here within a closely defined thematic setting.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint Benedict in Svatoslav was built in 2005–2006. In the centre of Svatoslav, near the municipal office, stands the Svatoslav World War Memorial. It commemorates the municipality’s residents who did not return from the First World War. Another memorial to Karel Kratochvíl commemorates him as a victim of Nazi torture in Flossenbürg concentration camp on 18 February 1945.

Landscape

Forests cover nearly 66% of the municipality’s area in Svatoslav. In the immediate vicinity of Svatoslav lies Panský kopec mountain, at the foot of which the Svatoslavský potok stream rises; the stream flows through Svatoslav. Hradiště mountain is also located in the immediate vicinity. The Kopaniny and Řehořovský vrch mountains are located in the surroundings of Svatoslav.

Discoveries

In front of the historic Waldsteinovo Zátiší hunting lodge, a blue-marked and a yellow-marked hiking trail meet at a publicly accessible location. Guided tours were once again offered at the hunting lodge from 7 January 2025; advance reservations were required.

Several churches are located in the wider regional surroundings of Svatoslav: Svatý Marek, Svatá Markéta and U Svaté Magdalena. Smetanovy sady Park is also located in this wider regional area.
