Myslibořice: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Church of St Luke in Myslibořice has a preserved Gothic core dating from the 13th century and a remarkable Baroque façade.

Culture

The protected grounds of the Church of St Luke include the church, the cemetery wall, Josef Suk’s gravestone and the plots belonging to the grounds. The church also has remarkable bells dating from 1550 and 1609. Four Baroque statues stand in front of it, depicting St Florian, St John of Nepomuk, St Aloysius and St Francis.

The Chapel of St Tekla is a small Baroque church on a hillside, surrounded by a cemetery. The gable contains a stucco panel bearing the year 1755.

Myslibořice Chateau is a Baroque, three-winged, two-storey U-shaped building. It stands on the site of a former fortress dating from the 14th century.

In April 2007, the discovery of a prehistoric settlement at the bottom of the Myslibořice pond was reported. According to archaeologist Milan Vokáč from the Vysočina Museum, it is the first Neolithic settlement excavated in the Vysočina Region.

Landscape

The Myslibořice chateau park is listed as a cultural monument and covers more than seven hectares; it originally consisted of floodplain forest.

A spring with clean water, described as having health benefits, rises on the south-facing hillside below the Chapel of St Tekla; it is monitored by the hydrometeorological institute.

Geographical Setting

Geomorphologically, Myslibořice and its surroundings belong to the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands; the larger part lies in the Jevišovice Upland. The average elevation is 483 m. Notable elevations include Stříbrná at 531 m and Svatocheň at 523 m; Na Skalním, at 556 m, is the highest point. The region is characterised by a large number of ponds.

Public bus route 796482 connects Třebíč with Myslibořice, Biskupice-Pulkov, Rouchovany and Tavíkovice; the timetable is valid from 14 December 2025 to 12 December 2026.
