Domamil: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of Saint Procopius takes visitors back into Domamil’s history: it was first mentioned in 1220 and is a late Romanesque parish church with Baroque modifications. Regular church services are held there; together with the Baroque group of statues of Saint John of Nepomuk, which stands in front of the church and dates from 1731, it has been a protected cultural monument since 1958. During restoration work in 1929, Renaissance paintings were discovered beneath the plaster; they were restored in 1943 and 1969.

Culture and History

The cultural surroundings include the chapel in Zákopy, as well as a group of crosses with mature trees, benches, and other amenities. The chapel has been renovated. The churches of Svatá Markéta, U Svaté Magdalena, and U Svatého Křiže are also located in the vicinity of Domamil. Further afield in the Domamil region are the ruins of Schloßberg.

The mountains Rudný, Špičák, Svatý Vít, and Srnčí vrch are located in the vicinity of Domamil. The school garden of ZŠ and MŠ Domamil includes a habitat formed by a stone pyramid, where visitors can observe lizards.
