Koněšínská pláž is located about 2 kilometers south of Koněšín in the valley of the Dalešice Reservoir.

Water and landscape

Koněšínská pláž is a grassy bathing area with shallow access to the water and is also used for fishing. The area around the Dalešice Reservoir near Koněšín features steep slopes of up to 100 meters in height. The Dalešice waterworks serves tourist recreation; along large parts of its shores, particularly the right bank, nature has remained undeveloped.

Paths and boat traffic

Hiking trail 5207 A leads to Koněšínská pláž on foot or by bicycle; motor vehicles are not allowed to drive onto the beach. The Horácko excursion boat stops in Koněšín, and bicycles can be taken on board. Regular Horácko boat service to Koněšín operates from April to October.

Culture and history

The parish church of St. Bartholomew in Koněšín was built in the Baroque style from 1663 to 1679 on the site of an earlier church. A copy of the founding charter of the Třebíč Benedictine monastery from 1101 lists Koněšín as a settlement with a market and tavern keepers.

The Letecké muzeum Koněšín is located in the Radarka complex in Koněšín. The Rabštejn ruins are also located in the vicinity of Koněšín; the Tempelštejn ruins are situated in the wider regional area. Svatý Marek is a church in the vicinity of Koněšín.
