Kamenná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Kamenná from the railway station in Studenec via Pyšel and along a stream to the Oslava; upstream, it continues to Velké Meziříčí. The Mlynářská stezka also passes Kamenná along the Oslava. It begins near Nové Město na Moravě and ends in the Lower Austria region. Near Kamenná, a blue-marked hiking trail runs along the cadastral boundary of Klementice and Studnice from Třebíč via Budišov and past the ruins of Dub Castle, through Tasov to Ořechov.

Nature and Rock Formations

Between the road from Budišov and the road to Klementice, Kamenná is home to a protected natural formation called “balvanovité krajinné ostrůvky” (“boulder landscape islands”). Čertova ruka is the highest point in the area of this natural formation and features the largest boulders. Near Kamenná, Thorovo kladivo is attached to a large boulder at a lookout point.

Culture and Local History

A monument to the victims of the First World War, erected in 1920, stands in Kamenná’s village square. A chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk is also located there.

The Buršík manor house has been historically documented in Kamenná since 1502; Tomáš Buršík is mentioned as an early record. It is the most architecturally and historically valuable of the local houses. The year 1807 is engraved above the entrance to the residential section.

Kamenná has stone sundials associated with local stonemasons. A Smírčí kámen also stands in the immediate vicinity of Kamenná, approximately 500 metres from a cross in the direction of the Oslava. The granite block bears an engraved patriarchal cross.

Leisure and Events

A fire pond in Kamenná is used as a swimming area called “Koupaliště”. This area includes a nohejbal court.

Masopust in Kamenná includes a fancy-dress procession and an evening dance event. Kameňák is a beer triathlon held in Kamenná in July.
