The landmark of Zálužice is a three-span reinforced-concrete bridge over the Ohře, built in 1934. It was extensively reconstructed in 2010 and 2011.

Culture and History

At the southern edge of Zálužice stands a Baroque chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, which was remodelled in the 19th century. On the outskirts of the village, Farm No. 6 displays features of vernacular Baroque.

In Stekník, the historic village centre has been preserved in its original Baroque form to this day. Since the Czech Republic Ministry of Culture Decree No. 249/95 of 22 September 1995, Stekník has been a village conservation area; at that time, it was the only village conservation area in the former Louny District.

Stekník Chateau is one of the most significant Rococo buildings in Bohemia and is surrounded by an Italian-designed terrace garden. The restored interiors are open to the public. The visitor tour presents the chateau as it was during the time of its last private owner, the family of Swiss consul Gerold Déteindre.

A historical tour through the surroundings of Stekník Chateau conveys the history of the village and the chateau, as well as information about notable personalities and monuments of the region.

Rybňany also offers striking examples of its architectural and local history: Opposite the farmstead, a damaged Baroque statue of Saint Barbara from 1719 stands on a double pedestal. A valuable agricultural complex with residential buildings, a barn, a drying facility, stables and a group of barns dating from the early 19th century has also been preserved there. This complex includes a distinctive conical icehouse, a particularly rare architectural form in the region.
