Kozly: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The originally Gothic Church of St. Martin in Kozly was remodeled in the Baroque style in 1717. It contains the Chotek family crypt. There is also a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk on the village square, dating from the second quarter of the 18th century.

Nature

The Tobiášův vrch natural monument protects a fragment of a rare steppe ecosystem with numerous endangered plant species and lies within the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area. The protected flora includes spring adonis, Czech pasque flower, common pasque flower, Ivan feather grass, and slender-flowered grape hyacinth. A field path near Kozly passes close to Tobiášův vrch through an area of great natural interest and is connected to a biocorridor and elements of the system of ecological stability (ÚSES).

Číčov is an erosion remnant formed by volcanic activity; a distinctive protected flora has been preserved on its underlying terrain. Access to Číčov leads from the road via a walkable tourist path; the site is located more than 250 meters from the road.

Dlouhá, Číčov, Líska, and Brník are mountains in the vicinity of Kozly.

History

The fortress of Kozly is documented from 1382 and was dissolved in 1623. In the past, Kozly supplied the Prague capitular administration with wine obtained from Chrámce.

The ruins of Hradek Oltářík and the ruins of Sukoslav are located in the vicinity of Kozly. In the wider regional surroundings of Kozly are the ruins of Hazmburk and Osek Monastery.
