Lipno: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Lipno, a Baroque agricultural complex with a château has been preserved. The château was converted from a Gothic fortress in the second half of the 17th century. The entire Lipno château complex at House No. 1 is a protected monument; in addition to the château, it includes the granary, administrative building, hop kiln, barns, stable and garden.

Culture and History

The grounds of the Church of St Wenceslas are also part of the historic townscape. They consist of a Baroque church of Gothic origin, an old cemetery and a surrounding wall.

Nature and Geology

In the vicinity of Lipno, Údolí Hasiny u Lipence is designated as a nature monument. The Údolí Hasiny u Lipence nature trail is also located there; it is approximately 1.5 kilometres long and has 10 stations.

The nature trail begins behind Lipenec on the right-hand side of the Louny–Žatec road. It presents the local geology through Mesozoic marine deposits with imprints of cephalopods and sea urchins, including shark remains, as well as older fossil imprints of various plant parts.

Public Life

The cultural centre in Lipno is wheelchair accessible. The pavements in Lipno have also been renovated to be wheelchair accessible. The municipal events in Lipno include the Mikulášská zábava and the Maškarní ples.
