Tuchořice: Vacation Apartments and Houses

Tuchořice combines geological natural monuments, protected plant habitats, historic buildings, and cultural sites. The cadastral area lies almost entirely within Džbán Nature Park; the village is served by bus routes 739, 741, and 717 operated by the Ústecký kraj Integrated Transport System. They connect Tuchořice with Louny, Lipno, Žatec, Kounov, Pnětluky, and Třeskonice.

Nature

The Miocenní sladkovodní vápence Natural Monument protects a geological profile featuring a freshwater carbonate sequence from the Miocene, significant paleontological finds, and the rare plant species fringed gentian (hořeček brvitý). The limestone outcrops above Tuchořice towards Lipno are up to 13 meters high and cover approximately 1.7 hectares.

The Travertinová kupa Natural Monument is a paleontological site containing skeletal remains of Tertiary predators and mollusks. Džbán Nature Park preserves the character of the Džbán Cretaceous plateau landscape with its geomorphological, natural, and aesthetic values, while also enabling sustainable tourism and recreation.

The protected flora also includes Kozinecká stráň. The area comprises fragments of a thermophilous oak woodland community with several important protected plant species and a rich population of white dittany.

Mount Džbán lies in the surroundings of Tuchořice. Hájek Hill [Lipno] is located in the immediate vicinity of Tuchořice; in the wider regional area are the mountains of Raná and Loustín.

The U Petra a Pavla educational trail ends at the Tuchořice–Výrov crossroads.

Culture and History

The château in Tuchořice is a one-story rectangular building with a stepped gable, an adjoining tower-like structure, and a crenellated parapet beneath the roof.

The village is home to the Hospůdka „U Jožana“ cultural center, which includes a restaurant and an adjoining hall where cultural events are held.

The ruins of Pravda Castle and the Church of U Svatého Gotharda are located in the surroundings of Tuchořice. In the wider regional area are the Svatý Prokop monument and the ruins of Hrádek.
