Bitozeves: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

History

The fortress of Bitozeves was first mentioned in 1405. Its ruins were converted into a granary in 1691. The building of the former fortress and granary features remnants of Renaissance sgraffito on its façades.

Townscape

At the entrance to Bitozeves from the direction of Postoloprty stand the Boží muka wayside shrines. They are a state-protected cultural monument. The niche chapel of Bitozeves is located in the town centre and is also a state-protected cultural monument.

Surroundings

Raná, Oblík, Srdov and Brník are mountains in the surroundings of Bitozeves. Hradek Oltářík, Hrádek and Sukoslav are ruins in the wider regional surroundings of Bitozeves.

Hiking

The “Podle Chomutovky do Postoloprt” route is designated as an easy hiking route. The section of the route in Bitozeves is listed as 7.6 km long. Along this section, a church and the former fortress, which was converted into a granary, stand on the slope on the left bank.
