Nové Sedlo U Žatce: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of the Most Holy Trinity and Saint Wenceslas was built in Nové Sedlo between 1735 and 1737. It has been preserved in its original, stylistically intact condition and is of great cultural and historical value. Next to the church stands a Baroque column of the Most Holy Trinity dating from 1730; the sculpture group of the Most Holy Trinity in Nové Sedlo is an immovable cultural monument.

Culture and History

A Neo-Renaissance chateau with an adjoining park was built in Nové Sedlo between 1898 and 1901. Nové Sedlo Chateau is now falling into disrepair and is not accessible. On Saturday, 28 September, a traditional St. Wenceslas concert took place in the Church of St. Wenceslas in Nové Sedlo, which is becoming increasingly popular with local residents and visitors from elsewhere.

Landscape

Nové Sedlo is located 5.5 km from Žatec, on a saddle-shaped slope on the right bank of the Ohře, which encloses a valley basin there. Today, the Ohře is about 1.5 km from Nové Sedlo; its old riverbed is still visible near the village.

The signposted Cyklo_15 cycling route runs from the Ohře via Číňov, Břežany, Nové Sedlo, Žabokliky, Selibice, Větrušice and Čeradice to Žatec.
