Lenešice: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Lenešice is home to the originally Romanesque, single-nave Church of St. Simon and Jude, dating from the 13th century. In addition to the church, its complex includes a surrounding wall with a gate, as well as two gates with stairways. A Latin inscription bearing the year 1262 is located on the church tower; it is one of the oldest monuments of its kind in Bohemia.
Culture and History
The historic appearance of the village also includes the château in Lenešice, which was built in 1599 by Jiří Černín of Chuděnice. The Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk, featuring a statue of the saint, has been restored.
Nature and Trails
The wych elm Jilm u tůně in Lenešice is 25 metres tall, has a trunk circumference of 440 centimetres, and is estimated to be 180 years old. Around 2 kilometres west of Lenešice lies Lenešická tůňka, a habitat for protected plant and animal species.
The Lenešice educational trail begins at Havlíčkovo Square by the Lenešický Pond. It leads across Knížete Václava Square and past a niche chapel on Pivovarská Street. The educational trail can end with a rest stop at Lenešická tůňka.
Location and Railway Line
Lenešice lies 4 kilometres northwest of Louny on the Louny–Počerady–Most line. The village is also located on the Louny–Most railway line.
