Kryry: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Kryry was originally a Gothic church dating from 1400–1418. In 1722, it was given its present form, and further alterations were made in 1780 and during the 19th century. It stands on a slight rise below the castle hill, next to a disused cemetery, and has a square west tower and a vaulted interior.
Culture and History
The Schillerova rozhledna was built in 1905–1906 on the site of the former Kozihrady Castle. It has viewing platforms at heights of 22 and 27 metres. At present, it is open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the spring, summer and autumn months.
Kryry Castle, also known as Kozí Hrady, belonged from 1320 to 1348 to Albrecht of Kryry from the Lords of Rvenice family. From 1374, it was an ancillary estate of Petrohrad Castle, owned by the Lords of Janovice, and had disappeared by the 15th century at the latest.

In the immediate vicinity of Kryry are Šibeník Hill [Kryry] and the hill (V Lomech) [Očihov]. The surrounding area also contains the Svatý Prokop Monument, the Zřícenina Lina Ruin and Prokopi Berg Mountain.

Trails and Events
The Křížová cesta Kryry Stations of the Cross trail is approximately 840 metres long and was created in 1764.
The town of Kryry and the Kryry Health Club held the Havraní stopa hiking event on 25 April 2026; registration began at 9:00 a.m. and the start was at 9:30 a.m. Havraní stopa was held in Kryry as the 30th edition of a walking event through the surrounding area, following forest paths and passing along the Schillerova rozhledna.
