Toužetín: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
The Baroque Toužetín Château was built in 1697 on the foundations of a fortress and designed according to a plan by Giacomo and Pietro de Maggi. The Toužetín château grounds include a main residential building with a park, an agricultural courtyard and a former brewery.
Culture and history
In the Louny administrative district, the monument commemorating the 1759 battle of the Seven Years’ War in Toužetín is one of the iconic sites. The monument to the victims of the Seven Years’ War in Toužetín commemorates one of the battles of the Seven Years’ War and its victims; it was renovated and opened to the public in October 2014.
The Karel Aksamit Monument in Toužetín is registered as a cultural monument under registration number 42455/5-4872 and is considered one of the significant works of the sculptor Josef Šimůnek.
Rural traces
The wayside shrine near Donín stands at a crossroads near a former windmill above Donín. It has a round stone foundation with a square pedestal, topped by a round column and, above it, a niche crowned by a cross.

The monument to the victims of the Seven Years’ War in Toužetín stands in a tree-lined avenue at the junction of the roads to Louny and Toužetín. The memorial plaque for František Fajtl is located in Donín, at house number 70, on the road towards Vrbno nad Lesy.
